According to the latest disaster prevention information from Miyake Village, the Japan Meteorological Agency has issued a volcanic eruption warning today, resulting in the elevation of Miyake Island’s volcanic alert level from Level 1 to Level 2.

As a precaution, access to hazardous areas located on the mountain side beyond the Oyama loop forest road is now strictly prohibited. Local authorities emphasize the importance of adhering to this restriction to ensure public safety.
