There is a total of 38 en suite rooms, at 14~18 square meters in size starting at 12,030 yen per person (VAT, hot spring baths included). Some select rooms come with a bath, all of which use 100% pure onsen water.

Shoes are not allowed in the rooms and there are no beds as all rooms are futon style. Rooms come with bath towels, face towels, yukata, toothbrush and dryer, as well as refrigerator, air conditioner, electric kettle, TV and safe.

Tsubaki (Camellia oil) Fondue Packed With Izu Oshima Specialties

As you can see from above, Oshima Onsen Hotel is top class in terms of its scenic landscapes and facilities. But that’s not all. Included in the cost of the stay are imaginative crafted meals. They are especially famous for their tsubaki fondue served for dinner.

For the tsubaki fondue, you are given local ingredients that have been coated in batter, which you fry in local camellia oil kushi-katsu style. Not only does it taste delicious, you can have fun with the cooking process even before you eat it. Non meat eaters are accommodated for. You can ask for fish and meat to be replaced with vegetarian ingredients. There are multiple plans available for your stay, but we recommend picking one which includes this tsubaki fondue.

Pick Up At The Port and What You Need

Another great feature of Oshima Onsen Hotel, is that the staff will come to welcome you at the port.
This service is only available to those arriving on jet foils in the afternoon. For others, it’s best to get to the hotel on a bus or rental car.
Check-in is at 15:00, and checkout at 10:00. The hotel has a shuttle service that’s scheduled to pick-up passengers arriving on the afternoon jetfoil, or else board the bus by timing your arrival with the jetfoil.

Newly Opened Terrace with View of Mt. Mihara

A terrace with sweeping views of Mt. Mihara opened in 2017. The space, on a rooftop, comes equipped with comfortable chairs. Open from 15:00-21:30, at night you can look up at the stars in the night sky. The area around Mt. Mihara is known for spectacular views of the stars, making this one of the best spots for stargazing. It’s the perfect hotel if you are looking for a relaxing stay.
