Island Star House: Oshima Island's colorful secret resort-inn in a forest

Walking through the green tunnel of trees and bamboo grove, like hidden in a forest and still close to the sea, the colorful Island Star House comes out just like as a fairy-tale. This resort inn with a star on its roof, will definitely deliver you some unique experience.

Our bamboo grove secret accommodation is on a good location. It is only 5 min driving from the Oshima airport or about 15 min from each port. You might imagine that the atmosphere of the resort inn is connected with the sea, especially when it is only 5 min on foot from the beach, but you are going to be surprised being surrounded of green. Driving though bumpy road, passing though green tunnel just like being in a movie, a colorful cute house will stand in front of you.

This space allows offers only two accommodations to keep the it unique. Open the colorful gate, walk straight the corridor to the room, you will reach a brightly colored open celling released room.

The living room tone seems rather calm compare to the brightly colored wall, the expansive view of the garden and sky from its wide window, will naturally adjust you to the so called island time.

Guest Rooms

2 rooms, one for 4 persons and one for 5 persons are available in our "Island Star House". You can stay just by yourself or charter the whole accommodation depending on your needs. You can feel the warmth of the wood from either rooms, they are both made so comfortable that we are persuade you would like to stay longer at the end.

Be totally free and enjoy

Island star house is a self-catering accommodation. You can cook for yourself, try izakaya (Japanese restaurant bar) on our owner’s recommendation, and you are also free to use our barbecue outfit and enjoy fresh fish from the ocean. You are totally free to do whatever that comes up in your mind.

You’ll see again how we are free and open because this stray garden cat became one of our face for quite a while. What we suggest you to do on a sunny day, is to look up the ceiling where you can find sparkling of Swarovski crystals strewed in form of stars. Then at night look up at the real stars, the whole sky will turn into a natural planetarium. The night sparkling will certainly bring happiness and make your heart shine.
